Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springfield Township). They put the hurt on the Cheltenham Panthers with a sharp 8-2 victory on Wednesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Springfield Township's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Cheltenham are ranked 307th).

The win (which was Springfield Township's seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those seven matches. As for Cheltenham, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

As of now, neither Springfield Township nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
