Football Recap: Vanden Vikings vs. Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack        
        
		
             Vanden had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack 35-19. The Vikings pushed the score to  35-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolfpack cut but never quite recovered from.
  Kalani Mcleod was the offensive standout of the  match as he threw for 255 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. 84 of those passing yards were hauled in by Logan Bailey, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
 When it comes to explaining why Cosumnes Oaks lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Marvin Simmons. Despite the final result, he rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vanden will challenge Campolindo at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they will hit the road for the first time this season to  square off against  Pitman  at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday.
