Basketball Game Preview: Cotopaxi Pirates vs. Miami-Yoder Buffaloes

The Cotopaxi Pirates will take on the Miami-Yoder Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cotopaxi is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Sierra Grande just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 56-34 to the Panthers. The game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Miami-Yoder played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Pikes Peak Christian, falling 70-50. The Buffaloes were down 51-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Miami-Yoder's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3. As for Cotopaxi, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-3.
