Soccer Recap: Port St. Joe Comes Up Short

Port St. Joe lost against North Bay Haven Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks lost 5-0 to the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers. While losing is never fun, the Tiger Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 162nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Port St. Joe and nudges their season record down to 8-6-1. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season.

Port St. Joe will face off against Arnold at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Arnold is coming into the contest with three straight victories on the road, so Port St. Joe will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they will square off against Wakulla at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Bay Haven Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.
