Volleyball Recap: Ritenour Takes a Loss

Ritenour lost against Hazelwood West on April 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Huskies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Huskies just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

While Ritenour ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 24-26, 25-21, 25-20.

Jordan Teoli paced Ritenour's offense, picking up seven kills. Teoli got some help from Vince Dungo and his 18 assists. James Chan controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Ritenour's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for Hazelwood West, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 5-14-2 record.

Ritenour wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Clayton on the 1st. As for Hazelwood West, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Fox on the 2nd.
