Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot takes loss despite strong efforts from Erin Maynes and Charlie Potter

The Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Kenston Forest by a score of 28-26. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot has struggled against Kenston Forest recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Charlie Potter and Erin Maynes certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Potter scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals, while Maynes scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and four steals. Maynes scored a full 34.6% of Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Kenston Forest, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tidewater Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 5th. Kenston Forest's road trip will continue as they head out to face Brunswick Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th.
