Softball Recap: De Soto Pirates vs. La Farge Wildcats

There's no place like home for De Soto, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the La Farge Wildcats on Monday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Ella Koch made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
