Draughn is 9-1 against Hibriten since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Draughn has six straight wins, Hibriten has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Draughn made easy work of East Burke and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While Draughn won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 27-25.

Draughn can attribute much of their success to Macy Auton, who had 13 digs and two aces, and Peyton Brewer, who had nine digs. That's the most digs Brewer has posted since back in August.

Meanwhile, Hibriten didn't have quite enough to beat West Caldwell on Thursday and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Hibriten sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 20-25, 25-22, 18-25, 17-15.

Draughn's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Hibriten, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

Draughn was able to grind out a solid victory over Hibriten in their previous matchup last Tuesday, winning 3-1. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
