Preview: Hutto Hippos vs. Midway Panthers
Hutto is 0-3 against Midway since December of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hutto Hippos will head out on the road to square off against the Midway Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Hutto will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 519th, while Midway is ranked 161st).
Hutto unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost to Bryan at home by a decisive 64-48 margin.
Meanwhile, Midway scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 69-23 victory over Weiss. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Midway has posted yet this season.
Hutto's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Midway, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.
Hutto came up short against Midway in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 55-43. Can Hutto avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
