Drumright skates past Oilton with ease

Recap: Drumright Tornadoes vs. Oilton Panthers

The Drumright Tornadoes put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Oilton, posting a 83-45 win on the road. Given Drumright's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Oilton is ranked 385th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Joseph Bray, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds. The matchup was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jonathon Chavez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Drumright's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46.33 points. As for Oilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Drumright will head out on the road to face off against Braggs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Braggs is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Oilton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stuart at 12:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
