Basketball Recap: Ephrata Mennonite Comes Up Short

Ephrata Mennonite fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Conestoga Christian on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Conestoga Christian Cougars by a score of 45-43. The Legends' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Conestoga Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lacey Constable, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Reagan Hails, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Ephrata Mennonite's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Conestoga Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-4.

Ephrata Mennonite will face off against New Covenant Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. New Covenant Christian will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Ephrata Mennonite surely won't give up without a fight. As for Conestoga Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 34-30 victory against High Point Baptist Academy on the 10th.
