Softball Recap: Waterford Wildcats vs. Ripon Christian Knights
Sadly, Waterford is still looking for their first win of the season after 15 matches. They fell victim to a rough 14-3 defeat at the hands of the Ripon Christian Knights on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Waterford of the 24-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.
For Ripon Christian's part, Kara Koolhaus was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ally Brown, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Waterford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Ripon Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterford will square off against Le Grand at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Le Grand will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Waterford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ripon Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Mariposa County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
