Baseball Recap: Merced Takes a Loss

Merced was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-7 to the Buhach Colony Thunder. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunder apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Bryce Jimenez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Merced's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Buhach Colony, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-13-1.

While Merced had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
