Baseball Game Preview: Blair-Taylor Wildcats vs. Whitehall Norse

The Blair-Taylor Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Whitehall Norse at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Blair-Taylor is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Blair-Taylor nor Eleva-Strum made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Wildcats' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 5-0 shutout. Five seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Whitehall made easy work of Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran on Monday and carried off a 9-3 victory.

Blair-Taylor's win bumped their record up to 9-3-1. As for Whitehall, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.

Blair-Taylor skirted past Whitehall 1-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
