            Football Recap: Carroll Tigers vs. Gregory-Portland Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Carroll dropped to 4-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They had to suffer through  a    60-0 loss at the hands of the Gregory-Portland Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 645th, while the Wildcats are ranked 217th).
As for Gregory-Portland, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven games by 28  points or more  so far this season.
  Carter Dominguez produced another solid  effort rushing for 38 yards and five  TDs, while also throwing for 178 yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Thanks to that big game,  he is now up to 17  rushing touchdowns on the season. Gregory-Portland also got a significant boost from  Cody Adame, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 103 yards.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Carroll will  take on  rival Ray  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Gregory-Portland is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Miller  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
