Basketball Recap: Gilmer Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Gilmer and Canton squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Gilmer had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 56-40 to the Canton Eagles. The Buckeyes just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Gilmer's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Canton, their victory bumped their record up to 17-15.

Gilmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canton, they will challenge Sunnyvale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunnyvale will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Canton surely won't give up without a fight.
