White Oak won the last time they faced Havelock and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings managed a 67-61 win over the Rams. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

White Oak was led to victory by Zarion Hobbs and Isaac Baxter. Hobbs went 8-for-14 to rack up 30 points and six boards, while Baxter dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Hobbs' third in a row with at least 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Mattocks, who posted nine points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

White Oak smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 22 consecutive games dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Havelock lost, don't look at Isaiah Prichard. Despite the final result, he put up 17 points along with eight boards and four steals. Prichard is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Zyking Patillo was another key player, putting up 11 points.

White Oak now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Havelock, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

White Oak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-66 loss against Croatan on the 9th. As for Havelock, they will face off against West Craven at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
