Sarcoxie took a 17-run defeat the last time they faced off against Strafford, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bears came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indians on Monday, sneaking past 9-7. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 17-0 win the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Sarcoxie's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5. As for Strafford, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sarcoxie will host Stockton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Strafford, they will take on Forsyth at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
