Softball Recap: Redlands Comes Up Short

Redlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-1 to the Cajon Cowboys, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-1 defeat on Thursday.

Redlands' loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Cajon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-12.

Coming up, Redlands will face off against Yucaipa at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Terriers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cajon, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-10 defeat against Citrus Valley on the 5th.
