Recap: Green Sea Floyds Trojans vs. Lamar Silver Foxes

The Green Sea Floyds Trojans can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Lamar by a score of 46-37. For Green Sea Floyds, this counts as revenge for the 44-24 defeat Lamar walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Leading Green Sea Floyds to victory were Shantavia Hilliard and Dee Dee Boyd. Hilliard scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Boyd dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boyd has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris McClellan, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Green Sea Floyds' victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Lamar, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Sea Floyds will challenge Hemingway at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hemingway comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last 11 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Lamar, they will head out on the road to face off against Hannah-Pamplico at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
