Softball Recap: Gruver Comes Up Short

Gruver and Sundown squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Gruver had to settle for second. They lost 22-2 to the Roughnecks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Roughnecks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Gruver and nudges their season record down to 11-9-1. As for Sundown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.

While Gruver had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
