Basketball Recap: Hermiston Bulldogs vs. Ridgeline Falcons
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hermiston can now relate to. They lost to the Ridgeline Falcons on the road by a 61-47 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Falcons are ranked 25th).
Ridgeline got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madilyn Crowley out in front who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Crowley is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cayce Paske, who went 7-for-12 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.
Hermiston has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. Ridgeline pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.
As of now, neither Hermiston nor Ridgeline have any future games scheduled.
