Baseball Recap: Manawa Wolves vs. Tigerton Tigers
Manawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 9-5 to the Tigerton Tigers. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.
Brody Rosin was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rosin was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Porter Gehrke was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Manawa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tigerton, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
Coming up, Manawa will host Northland Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tigerton, they will face off against Bowler at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
