Volleyball Recap: Warde/Ludlowe Takes a Loss

Warde/Ludlowe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the New Canaan Rams, falling 3-0.

Warde/Ludlowe was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made New Canaan work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 27-25, 25-15.

New Canaan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Park, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Park has posted since back in April of 2024. Stephen Brown also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Warde/Ludlowe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for New Canaan, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Warde/Ludlowe is set to take on their familiar foe Greenwich at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, New Canaan will face off against rival Ridgefield at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
