CALEDONIA, Miss. - the Tigers scored 20 points in the first quarter to secure a big 34-7 victory over
Caledonia (Miss.) on Saturday.
Noxubee County scored on a touchdown run by
Darrell Robinson, a Robinson touchdown run and a touchdown pass by
Jarvis Taylor to
Charles Hughes in the quarter.
NC was up 34-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Robinson touchdown run in the first quarter.
With the win the Macon school extended its winning streak to 11 games. The Tigers defeated the Wildcats 41-28 last week.
Colton Gilbreath made a difference for the Confederates. The senior running back ran for one touchdown.
Hughes played well for Noxubee County in the victory. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown.
Caledonia's lone touchdown came on a 2-yard run by Gilbreath in the fourth quarter.
NC went into the matchup giving up only 7.9 points per game. The seven points that CHS ended with were well below its average of 24.8 coming into the game.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Tigers came away with a 36-7 victory.
