Baseball Game Preview: Madera South Stallions vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

For the second straight game, Madera South will face off against Roosevelt. The Stallions will be playing at home against the Rough Riders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Madera South is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Madera South proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Roosevelt 5-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 21, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Brendon Gustafson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on David Moles, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Victor Palomino was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Madera South's win bumped their record up to 6-19-1. As for Roosevelt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11-1 record this season.
