Softball Game Preview: Union City Golden Tornadoes vs. Huntingdon Mustangs

The Union City Golden Tornadoes will face off against the Huntingdon Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Union City took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Greenfield get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Golden Tornadoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Huntingdon had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against McKenzie by a score of 8-5 on Thursday.

Union City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Huntingdon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9-1.
