While East Catholic didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the New Britain Golden Hurricanes with a sharp 14-2 win on Monday. Considering the Eagles have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

East Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for New Britain, they moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
