Football Recap: Lake Braddock Has No Trouble Against West Potomac

Lake Braddock had won three straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 7-0 to make it four. They put the hurt on the West Potomac Wolverines with a sharp 40-14 win. Considering the Bruins have won four games by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Tyrone Jackson produced another solid effort throwing for 241 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 43 yards and one touchdown. What's more, he racked up 139.7 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Samuel Rhye was another key player, rushing for 122 yards and one score.

As for West Potomac, they now have a losing record of 3-4. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Lake Braddock: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, West Potomac still got an impressive performance from Ben Knapp, who threw for 190 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 35 yards and one TD. The Wolverines also got help from Brendan Forti, who showed off his sure hands for 90 receiving yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Braddock will face off against South County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 906 yards in their previous games. As for West Potomac, they will take on Woodson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will be up against the Cavaliers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
