Lafayette Christian came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the St. Francis Knights 48-12. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.

Lafayette Christian's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Landon Childree refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Lawson Carroll got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Lafayette Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for St. Francis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Lafayette Christian will challenge Praise Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Francis, they will square off against Pinecrest Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Paladins have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
