Warren waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Bellflower Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The critical scores for Warren came from Samantha Tinoco and Jaylah Rodriguez.

One reason for the win was Warren's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Bellflower's QB won't forget Sofia Aceves anytime soon given she sacked her three times. Warren got some further help from Laurie Fuentes: she picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.

The win got Warren back to even at 10-10. As for Bellflower, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 16-5 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Warren is set to challenge their familiar foe La Mirada at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bellflower will face off against rival Downey at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Buccaneers 7.6, the Vikings 6.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
