Basketball Recap: South Prairie/Max Comes Up Short

South Prairie/Max was the 63-49 winner over New Town when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. South Prairie/Max had to suffer through a 80-47 loss at the hands of the New Town Eagles. South Prairie/Max just can't catch a break and has now endured four defeats in a row.

South Prairie/Max's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for New Town, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Prairie/Max will face off against Turtle Mountain at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. South Prairie/Max is facing Turtle Mountain at the right time seeing as Turtle Mountain is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for New Town, they will square off against Des Lacs-Burlington at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. New Town knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Des Lacs-Burlington likes a good challenge.
