Nick Bender put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Thursday. He struck out three batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
