Football Game Preview: Seneca Indians vs. Lift for Life Academy Hawks

The Seneca Indians will challenge the Lift for Life Academy Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Seneca is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 57-20 victory over St. Clair. Considering the Indians have won nine contests by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Lift for Life Academy entered their tilt with St. Michael the Archangel on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Guardians with a sharp 48-28 win.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Phoenix Isaiah and Gage Burgess. Isaiah had a great game and threw for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 passes. Meanwhile, Burgess was balling out in the loss, rushing for 124 yards and one TD, while also throwing for 76 yards and one touchdown.

Lift for Life Academy's defense made their presence known, laying out Burgess three times. Malachi Johnson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 12. Doran Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Seneca's record is now 12-1. As for Lift for Life Academy, their record now sits at 10-4.

Everything came up roses for Seneca against Lift for Life Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 31-0 victory. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
