Football Recap: Hopatcong Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Hopatcong's offense. They were beaten by the Manville Mustangs 34-0 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 33-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Hopatcong's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Manville, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Hopatcong and Manville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Chiefs are set to square off against their familiar foe North Warren Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Manville will take on rival Belvidere at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
