Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Victory Christian Academy Chargers didn't have quite enough to beat the Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles and fell 37-35. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Victory Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Albrey Jett went 8 of 20 on her way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlotte Buettner, who posted eight points.

Victory Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Victory Christian Academy will head out to take on Heritage Classical Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Victory Christian Academy: 29.6, Heritage Classical Christian Academy: 21.4) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, they will host Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Eagle Ridge Christian is facing Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis at the right time seeing as Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
