Baseball Recap: Parkway Central Takes a Loss

The matchup between Parkway Central and Kirkwood on Tuesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Colts came up short against the Pioneers, falling 19-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Colts in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Parkway Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Huff, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Huff's first of the season. Another was Phoenix Hula, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Parkway Central's record is now 5-8. As for Kirkwood, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Parkway Central will venture away from home to square off against Parkway South at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Colts surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kirkwood, they will welcome Seckman at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
