Volleyball Game Preview: East Union Lancers vs. Patterson Tigers

The East Union Lancers will head out to challenge the Patterson Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Wednesday, East Union got the win against Oakdale by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-9, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Patterson came into Wednesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Central Catholic 3-0 on Wednesday.

Patterson walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-19.

East Union now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Patterson, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Everything went East Union's way against Patterson in their previous meeting back in March, as East Union made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
