Baseball Recap: Joaquin Takes a Loss

If Joaquin was riding high fresh off their 17-5 takedown of San Augustine last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Joaquin lost 13-4 to the Shelbyville Dragons on Tuesday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Joaquin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Bass, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Joaquin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Shelbyville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record this season.

Joaquin will square off against Garrison at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shelbyville, they will challenge San Augustine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Shelbyville is facing San Augustine at the right time seeing as San Augustine is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
