Basketball Recap: Gardiner Comes Up Short

Gardiner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 69-29 defeat at the hands of the Manhattan Christian Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 58 points in the game before, the Bruins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Gardiner's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Manhattan Christian, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gardiner will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Shields Valley at 2:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Manhattan Christian also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against White Sulphur Springs at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
