Soccer Game Preview: Lakeland vs. Tunkhannock

The Lakeland Chiefs will head out to take on the Tunkhannock Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lakeland has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with ten straight losses, while Tunkhannock will come in with four straight wins.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Lakeland's offense. They lost 7-0 to West Scranton on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Lakeland have lost by exactly seven goals.

Meanwhile, Tunkhannock made easy work of Berwick on Thursday and carried off a 9-2 victory. Considering Tunkhannock have won ten matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Tunkhannock, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.

Lakeland was able to grind out a solid victory over Tunkhannock when the teams last played back in August of 2023, winning 3-1. Will the Chiefs repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
