Soccer Recap: Ballard Comes Up Short

Ballard lost against North Polk back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bombers came up short against the Comets, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Ballard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while North Polk are ranked 16th).

Ballard now has a losing record of 7-8-3. As for North Polk, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0-2.

Ballard has already played their next match (against West Marshall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for North Polk, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Valley on the 6th.
