Soccer Game Preview: Lakeside vs. Heritage

The Lakeside Lancers will challenge the Heritage Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lakeside is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Canyon Springs on Tuesday. Neither Lakeside nor Canyon Springs could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Lakeside's goal came courtesy of Chris Luis, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They never let Rancho Christian onto the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Lakeside's draw gives them a new season record of 4-4-1. As for Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9-2.
