Softball Recap: SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars vs. West Craven Eagles

In what's become a running theme this season, SouthWest Edgecombe gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the West Craven Eagles with a sharp 9-3 win. This was payback for SouthWest Edgecombe, who suffered a 13-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

MacKenzie Rogers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Rogers has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
