Leake Academy is 4-0 against Washington since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Leake Academy Rebels are on the road again and play against the Washington Generals at 12:30 p.m. on December 27th. Leake Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 459 points over their last seven matches.
Leake Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 23 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 67-44 margin over St. Joseph Catholic. With Leake Academy ahead 42-18 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Leake Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Prince, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Marleigh Myers, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Washington strolled past Tri-County Academy with points to spare back in November, taking the game 53-35.
Leake Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Everything came up roses for Leake Academy against Washington in their previous meeting back in October of 2021 as the team secured a 52-14 victory. With Leake Academy ahead 35-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
