Baseball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield and NorthWood squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Fairfield had to settle for second. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Fairfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Beachy, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for NorthWood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-12.

As of now, neither Fairfield nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
