Baseball Recap: Mission Hills Takes a Loss

Mission Hills came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to the Del Norte Nighthawks. The Grizzlies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Nighthawks earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Mission Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micah Mecucci, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Mission Hills' loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Del Norte, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Mission Hills is taking a road trip to square off against El Camino at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Del Norte, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against San Pasqual at 4:00 p.m. The last four games the Golden Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
