After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Harmony, Elysian Fields was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Daingerfield Tigers a 9-0 shutout. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by nine runs or more this season.

Madi Owens was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kirsten Commander, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Elysian Fields' victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Daingerfield, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Coming up, Elysian Fields' homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Arp at 12:45 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets' pitcher better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Daingerfield, they will head out to challenge Sabine at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
