Basketball Recap: Cottage Grove Comes Up Short

Cottage Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Junction City Tigers, falling 47-20. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-45 back in January.

Cottage Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Junction City, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cottage Grove will welcome North Bend at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Cottage Grove is facing North Bend at the right time seeing as North Bend is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Junction City, they will take on Marist at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
