Basketball Recap: Overton Takes a Loss

Overton lost against McLeod back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Overton Mustangs took a blow against the McLeod Longhorns, falling 41-5. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Overton and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for McLeod, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overton will take on Alto at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McLeod, they will challenge Linden-Kildare at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Linden-Kildare's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while McLeod has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
